Been a little while

Bit by bit

Slowly I am getting my projects done. I have managed to do 3 bandana dresses, a stuffed owl, a bill holder and a new purse for myself. LOVING my new purse, the fabric I had been admiring for a while but the price put me off, till it came up 50% off! How could I say no??!!

I also got a tea pot cozy done for my mother in law, since she expressed a frustration with the one she has. Not too sure if it's going to fit though, a little worried about that. Even though I measured. :S

Picked up a simplicity pattern as well, once again for the girls. I find sewing for them way easier than myself. Specially since I'm smaller than most women. Still a fairly simple dress, but more pieces than I have done before, hopefully I can get it all right.

That's all that's on the go right now, more to come soon.

On the go

As of right now I have a rather large list of things on the go. Bill holders, dollies, and bandana dresses..lots to choose from and no motivation!

But here are a couple things I have gotten done...

New year, new projects

As expected I didn't get much sewing done over the holiday...way too much running around to see family and last minute shopping! I spent way too much time blog surfing over the past two days, and I found my self a couple projects to get started with.

First is just a simple little pocket to keep bills in. Super easy, and within moments of posting a picture to facebook I was asked by two people to make one for them!

Next is one I'm really excited to start. So excited I went out after work last night to get fabric so I could start first thing this morning. This little girls ruffle sleeve top tutorial looks fairly simple and super cute. Off I go to get it started....

...a few hours later and I got one done! I ran out of elastic to make the second, so I will be stopping once again at the fabric store on my way home from work. This is how my first one came out.
